Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Arup Das. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,048.00 (€ 6,668.90), 21% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arup Das - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Village), which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Arup Das zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.048,00 (€ 6.668,90) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Arup Das mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Village) beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.699,32) versteigert wurde.
