A top price for Arup Das - as previously expected
In March 2019 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Village) by Arup Das. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (Village) is the most expensive artwork by Arup Das that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Village) von Arup Das zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.699,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Untitled (Village) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Arup Das, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
