This artwork by Arup Das achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2019. In the Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita auction, the work without title sold for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,596.97) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arup Das; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Village) sold at auction in March 2019 with the realized price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32).

In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.596,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Arup Das; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (Village) im März 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.699,32).
