This artwork by Arthur Parton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2003. In the The House Sale auction, the work Cows by the Water sold for USD 5,975.00 (€ 3,621.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Parton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lake Scene in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 32,760.00 (€ 27,956.99).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Parton erzielte im September 2003 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The House Sale wurde die Arbeit Cows by the Water für USD 5.975,00 (€ 3.621,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Parton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lake Scene im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 27.956,99).
