Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain / Online, which included the work Orchard, September Evening by Arthur Maderson. The price achieved of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,511.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Maderson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Boat Party, which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 12,750.00 (€ 15,203.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain / Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orchard, September Evening von Arthur Maderson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.511,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Maderson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Boat Party beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für GBP 12.750,00 (€ 15.203,92) versteigert wurde.
