Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale Part II, which included the work Sunlight through the trees by Arthur Maderson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 720.00 (€ 1,059.53), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Maderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Boat Party in April last year with an auction result of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 15,203.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Irish Sale Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunlight through the trees von Arthur Maderson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.059,53) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Maderson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Boat Party im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 15.203,92).
