Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Evening Light, Winter by Arthur Maderson for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,401.29). This price was achieved in the auction Irish Sale Part II at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Maderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Boat Party in April last year with an auction result of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 15,203.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Evening Light, Winter von Arthur Maderson für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.401,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Irish Sale Part II bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Maderson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Boat Party im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 15.203,92).
