Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Almost Sunset by Arthur Maderson. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,500.00 (€ 7,615.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Arthur Maderson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April last year the work The Boat Party was auctioned for GBP 12,750.00 (€ 15,203.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Almost Sunset von Arthur Maderson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.500,00 (€ 7.615,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Arthur Maderson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April letzten Jahres die Arbeit The Boat Party für GBP 12.750,00 (€ 15.203,92) versteigert.
