This artwork by Arthur James Wetherall Burgess achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2004. In the Maritime Pictures auction, the work H.M. racing yacht Britannia at Cowes sold for GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,330.82) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arthur James Wetherall Burgess; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot An American Naval Auxiliary And Other Shipping In A Dockyard sold at auction in November 2006 with the realized price of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,276.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur James Wetherall Burgess erzielte im Mai 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
