Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Out With The Ebbing Tide by Arthur Grimshaw was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,771.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Grimshaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Clapham Omnibus in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 62,400.00 (€ 92,665.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Out With The Ebbing Tide von Arthur Grimshaw kam im November 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.771,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Grimshaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Clapham Omnibus im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.400,00 (€ 92.665,95).
