Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures, which included the work A Fishing Harbour by Arthur Grimshaw. The price achieved of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,227.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Grimshaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Clapham Omnibus in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 62,400.00 (€ 92,665.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Fishing Harbour von Arthur Grimshaw zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.227,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Grimshaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Clapham Omnibus im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.400,00 (€ 92.665,95).
