The work Dockside Scene by Arthur Grimshaw was sold in the Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures auction at Christies in London in June 2005. It achieved a price of GBP 11,760.00 (€ 17,429.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. Admittedly, works by Arthur Grimshaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Clapham Omnibus in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 62,400.00 (€ 92,665.95).

Die Arbeit Dockside Scene von Arthur Grimshaw wurde im Juni 2005 in der Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 11.760,00 (€ 17.429,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Grimshaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Clapham Omnibus im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.400,00 (€ 92.665,95).
