Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Shy As A Rabbit by Arthur Bowen Davies for USD 8,750.00 (€ 8,023.84). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Arthur Bowen Davies have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heart's Hansel in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 45,615.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Shy As A Rabbit von Arthur Bowen Davies für USD 8.750,00 (€ 8.023,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Bowen Davies auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heart's Hansel im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 45.615,47).
