This artwork by Arthur Bowen Davies achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July last year. In the Modern Discoveries auction, the work Listening Valleys Hear sold for USD 8,820.00 (€ 8,645.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arthur Bowen Davies have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heart's Hansel in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 45,615.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Bowen Davies erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Discoveries wurde die Arbeit Listening Valleys Hear für USD 8.820,00 (€ 8.645,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Bowen Davies auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heart's Hansel im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 45.615,47).
