Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Arthur Alfred Davis could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Running into Him; and Any Port in a Storm changed hands for USD 2,270.50 (€ 1,847.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Alfred Davis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work No Escape, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,224.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Alfred Davis konnte im März 2004 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE wechselte die Arbeit Running into Him; and Any Port in a Storm für USD 2.270,50 (€ 1.847,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Alfred Davis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit No Escape beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.224,67) versteigert wurde.
