Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andy Warhol as the Golden Boy, 1962 by Art Kane was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2017. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,441.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Art Kane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Who With Flag, 1968, printed later in February 2021 with an auction result of GBP 17,750.00 (€ 20,471.29).

Die Arbeit Andy Warhol as the Golden Boy, 1962 von Art Kane kam im April 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.441,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Art Kane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Who With Flag, 1968, printed later im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.750,00 (€ 20.471,29).
