Upper estimate price exceeded by 25 %.
The work Composition (Paysage) by Arpad Szenès was sold in the Art Contemporain auction at Sothebys in Paris in December 2012. It achieved a price of EUR 1,875.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arpad Szenès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Discussion in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Composition (Paysage) von Arpad Szenès wurde im Dezember 2012 in der Auktion Art Contemporain bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.875,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arpad Szenès erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Discussion im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
