Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of EUR 2,115.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,200.00. Admittedly, works by Arnout Colnot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Path through a mountainous landscape in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 8,962.50.

Die Arbeit Stilleven Chrysanten en Fruit - Still life with chrysanthemums and fruit von Arnout Colnot kam im Januar 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 2.115,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arnout Colnot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Path through a mountainous landscape im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.962,50.
