Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Moored Boat by Arnout Colnot was sold in the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in September 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Arnout Colnot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Path through a mountainous landscape in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 8,962.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Moored Boat von Arnout Colnot wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arnout Colnot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Path through a mountainous landscape im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.962,50.
