This artwork by Arnout Colnot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in September 2007. In the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work Skaters On A Frozen Waterway sold for EUR 5,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arnout Colnot; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Path through a mountainous landscape sold at auction in May 2002 with the realized price of EUR 8,962.50.

In der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit Skaters On A Frozen Waterway für EUR 5.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Arnout Colnot; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Path through a mountainous landscape im Mai 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 8.962,50.
