This artwork by Arnold Newman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in June this year. In the Pierre Boulez Collection auction, the work Portraits de Pierre Boulez - 1967-86 sold for EUR 2,886.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Arnold Newman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Igor Stravinsky, New York City. in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 16,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arnold Newman erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pierre Boulez Collection wurde die Arbeit Portraits de Pierre Boulez - 1967-86 für EUR 2.886,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arnold Newman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Igor Stravinsky, New York City. im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.250,00.
