Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Classic & Contemporary Photographs, which included the work Robert Moses, New York City, from Roosevelt Island by Arnold Newman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,847.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Arnold Newman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Igor Stravinsky, New York City. in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 16,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Classic & Contemporary Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Robert Moses, New York City, from Roosevelt Island von Arnold Newman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.847,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arnold Newman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Igor Stravinsky, New York City. im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.250,00.
