Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flying Men (Colonial Heritage Series) by Armando Mariño was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,252.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Armando Mariño - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work El restaurador, which sold at auction in August 2020 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 18,850.54).
