This artwork by Armando Mariño achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2021. In the Latin American Art Online auction, the work Espectador común sold for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,375.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Armando Mariño - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work El restaurador, which sold at auction in August 2020 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 18,850.54).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Armando Mariño erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art Online wurde die Arbeit Espectador común für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.375,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Armando Mariño mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit El restaurador beobachtet, die im August 2020 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 18.850,54) versteigert wurde.
