In the Russian Icons and Pictures Including works by Non-Conformist Artists auction, the work Portrait of Stepan Nazarov sold for GBP 36,500.00 (€ 51,109.44) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. This high result makes Portrait of Stepan Nazarov the most expensive artwork by Arkady Plastov that we have observed at auctions so far.
