Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Shooting Gallery by Arkadi Petrov was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 737.54). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arkadi Petrov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buttons in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 46,100.00 (€ 57,913.03).
