Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bathers by Aristarkh Vasilyevich Lentulov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 937,250.00 (€ 1,133,205.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aristarkh Vasilyevich Lentulov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Children With Parasols, which sold at auction in June 2014 for GBP 2,098,500.00 (€ 2,621,975.35).
