Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Let's face the music and dance by Arifien Neif was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. The price achieved of HKD 50,400.00 (€ 4,799.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arifien Neif achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Procession in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 51,476.46).

Die Arbeit Let's face the music and dance von Arifien Neif wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 4.799,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arifien Neif erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Procession im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 51.476,46).
