Auction result well in line with expectations
The work There Are ... by Shusaku Arakawa was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2020. The price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 40,565.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shusaku Arakawa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vertical Thought, which sold at auction in October 2017 for GBP 137,500.00 (€ 156,776.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit There Are ... von Shusaku Arakawa kam im Februar 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 40.565,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Shusaku Arakawa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vertical Thought beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für GBP 137.500,00 (€ 156.776,91) versteigert wurde.
