Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Composition) by Anwar Jalal Shemza was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in June 2019. The price achieved of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,724.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anwar Jalal Shemza have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work City Wall in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 231,250.00 (€ 199,749.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Composition) von Anwar Jalal Shemza wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.724,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anwar Jalal Shemza auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit City Wall im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 231.250,00 (€ 199.749,50).
