Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Feeling Material Xvii by Antony Gormley was sold in the 20th Century Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in March 2021. The auction ended at the price of GBP 350,000.00 (€ 411,159.84), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Gormley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Case for an Angel I in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,296,250.00 (€ 6,038,761.70).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Feeling Material Xvii von Antony Gormley wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 350.000,00 (€ 411.159,84) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Gormley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Case for an Angel I im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.296.250,00 (€ 6.038.761,70).
