In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work An Italian Seaport by Antonio Zucchi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,394.88), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Zucchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of James Adam (1732-1794), three-quarter-length, in an embroidered waistcoat and fur-lined blue coat, holding a pair of compasses, and a scroll, leaning on a capital, in an interior in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 374,500.00 (€ 472,362.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Italian Seaport von Antonio Zucchi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.394,88) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Zucchi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of James Adam (1732-1794), three-quarter-length, in an embroidered waistcoat and fur-lined blue coat, holding a pair of compasses, and a scroll, leaning on a capital, in an interior im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 374.500,00 (€ 472.362,25).
