In July 2003 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER, MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS, which included the work The Martyrdom of Saints Peter and Paul, after Parmigianino (B. XII, 79, 28) by Antonio da Trento. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,030.53), 55% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Antonio da Trento; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Nude Man seen from behind (Narcissus) sold at auction in July 2020 with the realized price of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,649.13).
