In May 2001 Christies in Rome held the auction DIPINTI E DISEGNI ANTICHI, which included the work Scontro di cavalleria by Antonio Calza. The price achieved of ITL 51,450,000.00 (€ 48,681.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as ITL 45,000,000.00 – 60,000,000.00. Other works by Antonio Calza have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2018 the work Adunata di cavalieri con trombettieri a cavallo e battaglia ai piedi di una torre was auctioned for EUR 70,000.00.
