Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scena Di Battaglia by Antonio Calza was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in Milan in May 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 18,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Calza - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Adunata di cavalieri con trombettieri a cavallo e battaglia ai piedi di una torre, which sold at auction in October 2018 for EUR 70,000.00.

Die Arbeit Scena Di Battaglia von Antonio Calza wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 18.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
