Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Hammer and nails by Anton Martineau for EUR 600.00. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Martineau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A still life with a flower in a vase and a horse's head, which sold at auction in November 2000 for NLG 4,095.70 (€ 1,918.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hammer and nails von Anton Martineau für EUR 600,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anton Martineau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A still life with a flower in a vase and a horse's head beobachtet, die im November 2000 für NLG 4.095,70 (€ 1.918,77) versteigert wurde.
