Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Anton Martineau have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2000 the work A still life with a flower in a vase and a horse's head was auctioned for NLG 4,095.70 (€ 1,918.77).

Die Arbeit A Still Life with a Pineapple, a Bottle, a Pear and a Pipe on a Table von Anton Martineau kam im September 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Anton Martineau konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2000 die Arbeit A still life with a flower in a vase and a horse's head für NLG 4.095,70 (€ 1.918,77) versteigert.
