Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Cili Cili Series by Anton Huang was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The result of HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,643.45) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 15,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anton Huang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 59,760.29).

Die Arbeit Cili Cili Series von Anton Huang wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.643,45) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anton Huang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 59.760,29).
