Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Anton Corbijn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June 2021. In the Photographies auction, the work Bono (Bath), New York, 1992 sold for EUR 16,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Corbijn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kraftwerk I-IV, Heads of the Kraftwerk mannequins, Barcelona, 1981, which sold at auction in November this year for EUR 44,100.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anton Corbijn erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographies wurde die Arbeit Bono (Bath), New York, 1992 für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anton Corbijn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kraftwerk I-IV, Heads of the Kraftwerk mannequins, Barcelona, 1981 beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für EUR 44.100,00 versteigert wurde.
