Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Windsor Castle From The Park by Copley Fielding for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,368.85). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Works on Paper at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Copley Fielding have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An extensive view of Greenwich, London in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 25,095.00 (€ 36,062.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Windsor Castle From The Park von Copley Fielding für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.368,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Copley Fielding auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An extensive view of Greenwich, London im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.095,00 (€ 36.062,88).
