Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Contemplation by Anthony Staynes for GBP 562.50 (€ 671.64). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Staynes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woman with a cup, which sold at auction in February 2012 for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,492.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Contemplation von Anthony Staynes für GBP 562,50 (€ 671,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthony Staynes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Woman with a cup beobachtet, die im Februar 2012 für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.492,53) versteigert wurde.
