This artwork by Anthony Gross achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2008. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Outside the bullring, Ronda, Spain sold for GBP 750.00 (€ 952.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Gross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A large collection of etchings, circa 1955 to 1976, on wove and laid paper, each signed and titled in pencil, each with full margins, in varying conditions, most in excellent overall condition in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 17,380.46).
