It achieved a price of GBP 660.00 (€ 952.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Gross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A large collection of etchings, circa 1955 to 1976, on wove and laid paper, each signed and titled in pencil, each with full margins, in varying conditions, most in excellent overall condition in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 17,380.46).

Die Arbeit Grape Pickers von Anthony Gross wurde im April 2006 in der Auktion Modern British Prints bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 952,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Gross erzielen.
