Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Backshed by Anthony Goicolea was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,044.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anthony Goicolea have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stigmata in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,323.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Backshed von Anthony Goicolea kam im März 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.044,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Goicolea auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stigmata im August 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.323,06).
