Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Orchard (from Sheltered) by Anthony Goicolea was sold in the A Life Among Artists: Contemporary Photographs from an Esteemed Private Collection auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,670.00 (€ 4,897.64). Admittedly, works by Anthony Goicolea have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stigmata in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,323.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Orchard (from Sheltered) von Anthony Goicolea wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion A Life Among Artists: Contemporary Photographs from an Esteemed Private Collection bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.670,00 (€ 4.897,64) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Goicolea auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stigmata im August 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.323,06).
