Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Western Wall, Jerusalem by Anthony Eyton was sold in the 20th Century British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,122.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Eyton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spitalfields, which sold at auction in March 2007 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,013.23).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.122,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
