Auction result well in line with expectations
The work St. Leonard'S, Shoreditch by Anthony Eyton was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in March 2006. The price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 601.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Eyton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spitalfields in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,013.23).
