Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Malaysian Plants, Eden Project by Anthony Eyton. The price achieved of GBP 1,280.00 (€ 1,493.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Eyton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spitalfields in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,013.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Malaysian Plants, Eden Project von Anthony Eyton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.280,00 (€ 1.493,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Eyton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spitalfields im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.013,23).
