Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS, which included the work The Storyteller by Anthony Devis. The price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,244.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Devis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A pastoral river landscape with an elegant couple conversing in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,113.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Storyteller von Anthony Devis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.244,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Devis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A pastoral river landscape with an elegant couple conversing im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 13.113,28).
