Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Christies in London held the auction British & Continental Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Easton on the Hill, North Hampshire by Anthony Devis. The price achieved of GBP 525.00 (€ 753.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Devis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A pastoral river landscape with an elegant couple conversing in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,113.28).

Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & Continental Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Easton on the Hill, North Hampshire von Anthony Devis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 525,00 (€ 753,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Devis erzielen.
